**Summary**:
**This position is governed by the SEIU collective agreement.**

Thompson House has an opening for _Casual PSW_ for all shifts (Days, Evenings, and Nights). This position is responsible for performing a variety of services to aid in resident care and comfort as part of a harmonious resident care team. This position reports to the unit RN or RPN.
- Current Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Experience in Long Term Care setting is considered an asset
- Provide personal care to residents such as bathing, assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, and others.
- Assist residents with R.O.M. exercises and mobility as directed.
- Serve and collect food trays.
- Feed residents who require assistance
- Carry out non-prescription treatments, as directed.
- Prepare residents for and escort them to in-home appointments as directed.
- Encourage residents’ independence in activities of daily living.
- Comfort, reassure, and understand residents’ emotional, social and spiritual needs

**Wage**: $21.30 to $22.21 per hour, commensurate with experience as per the SEIU collective agreement

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $21.30-$22.21 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
