**Shifts**:
**Client: Senior lady **(Victoria Park & Elesmere)
- Monday to Friday. 9:00am - 1:00pm
- or
- Monday to Friday 12:30pm - 4:30pm

**Personal Support Worker job details: (Female Only)**

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) is a “Personal Support at Home” front line position acting as a representative of iCare Home Heath and providing the services offered by the company.

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will mostly work independently of co-workers or supervisors and therefore must balance good judgment and initiative along with the policies of the company.

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will be required to maintain a safe working environment for themselves and their clients.

**Duties**:
The following list is a guideline of possible duties to be performed independently or as a group of duties in the course of working with the client. The Personal Support Worker (PSW) duties are not limited to those listed.

**A. Personal Care and Observe for Safety**:
Able to work with and provide a safe environment for Seniors.

**B. Companionship and Personal Care**

One of the most important aspects of iCare Home Health will be providing clients with a strong sense of support and safety.

May be asked to provide
- Hygiene services
- Toileting.
- Assist with feeding,
- Mental and Physical stimulation.
- Familiarity with technology/ mind games is an asset.

Taking a genuine interest in the client, their life and their environment will help create a true sense of companionship.

**C. Transportation**

Optional, if the caregiver has a reliable vehicle, a trip to the local park or a physician appointment maybe added to the care plan.

**Qualifications: PSW must be Vaccinated including booster shot.**

1. Current recognized PSW training certificate.

2. Dementia/Alzheimer training and experience is an asset.

3. Current certificate in standard first aid and CPR.

4. Must be passionate and committed in heart and mind in everything you do.

5. Police Criminal Reference Check.

6. Ability to work independently.

7. Excellent communication and listening skills.

8. Compassionate, patient and caring nature.

9. Must be physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of care giving.
