Opportunity: Form Work Carpenter Apprentice

Reporting directly to the Site Superintendent, as a formwork carpenter apprentice with DORA Construction, you will learning formwork by working along side an experienced formwork Carpenter. A vital part of our construction team, DORA Construction is currently looking for like-minded individuals, with a strong desire to learn formwork, with a focus on safety, who are proud to go to work and make a difference each day.

Position Responsibilities
- *Including but not limited to: _

*Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
*Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
*Build columns and forms
*Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
*Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
*Follow compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
*Provide excellent customer service.
*Build foundations
**Other tasks as assigned by the Site Superintendent.**

Job Requirements

The following qualifications are just suggested guidelines. Personality, attitude and personal attributes are most critical to the success of the incumbent in this role.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of two years' experience in the construction industry
- Strong desire to learn form work
- Knowledge of Mathematics
- Have a growth ‘mindset’ and have open communication skills.
- Good physical fitness, stamina and strength, good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time, including climbing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Salary

$22.50-30.00 per hour based on experience
