Preference will be given to qualified employees within the Full Time Support Staff bargaining unit, Appendix D (in the role for 6 consecutive months) and RPT employees who have passed probation at Mohawk College.

Reporting to the Manager, Student Rights and Responsibilities Office, the Gender Based Violence Education Coordinator (GBVEC) has a variety of operational, administrative and reporting responsibilities; including the identification, implementation, delivery and evaluation of comprehensive prevention programming that engages the college community.

The incumbent liaises collaboratively with campus stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered, and that these programs meet institutional objectives and provincial mandates for sexual violence prevention and education. The role promotes programming and services to the college community and establishes and maintains relationships with special interest groups, including faculty and staff, on how to best support students.

**What you’ll be doing**:
**Development, Coordination and Implementation of Gender Based Violence Prevention Programs and Services**
- **Conceptualize, develop, implement and evaluate outreach events and initiatives that involve various instructional methods, including traditional in-person curriculum, online learning, (virtual) events, videos, social media and print.
- Ensure programming is reflective of, and responsive to the diverse experiences and needs of various audiences and sub-populations at the College. Ensure best-practices and considerations related to equity, diversity, inclusion and access are implemented.
- Coordinate Bystander Intervention and Consent Education programming, including content and curriculum development, promotion and implementation, assist with recruitment and training student staff/volunteers, program evaluation and maintaining all operational processes.
- Work collaboratively with the Task Force on Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence to ensure the College maintains a robust campus-wide sexual violence education strategy.
- Market programs and opportunities to campus stakeholder groups. Develop and implement promotional strategies that incorporate virtual, web, print, video and social media materials; participate in community events and consult with campus groups to promote sexual violence prevention and education.
- Consult with college and community stakeholders and service providers to assist with student engagement and to ensure programming is informed by best-practices and reflective of local trends.
- Monitor and track program and event budgets.

**Strategic Planning, Data Collection and Reporting**
- **Collaborate with the Task Force on Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence, campus stakeholders and management to facilitate strategic planning, and develop short and medium-term operational priorities for sexual violence education initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and develop reports on service use metrics and outcomes using data from virtual and in-person programming and events, to demonstrate compliance with ministry mandates related to sexual violence prevention and education, and to inform content development.
- Author an annual report describing GBV activities and demonstrating compliance with ministry mandates.
- Conduct regular review of campus statistics, campus assessment data, program evaluations and provincial/national data to identify emerging trends and promising practice in sexual violence prevention and education.
- Work alongside colleagues at other post-secondary institutions to coordinate cross-institutional resource development and sharing.

**Staff/Volunteer Training and Support**
- **Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies for recruitment, as well as conduct screening and interviewing activities with student leaders/facilitators related to GBV violence prevention and education activities in collaboration with other college stakeholders.
- Produce, organize, deliver and evaluate training programs for student leaders/facilitators; including (but not limited to) August orientation and ongoing training throughout the year. Ensure training activities are reflective of updated best-practices and relevant campus and community issues.
