**_ : _**Under the guidance of the Sales Manager, this position is responsible for developing markets; specification driven and promoting of Segmental Retaining Wall, Paving and Landscape, Dry Mix, CMU, and other related products. The target customer base will be Developers, Civil Contractors, and the design community to include Architects, engineers, and city/ municipal officials. The position will also require onsite support for contractors and installers. This position will be based out of the BC Interior.
**_ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES_** **include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Contact customers in person and by telephone. Customers include architects, engineers, developers, city building officials and civil contractors.
- Educates potential customers regarding Basalite’s complete product line.
- Provide job leads and quotation to customer base.
- Performs post-bid job follow-up.
- Participates in industry trade shows to promote Basalite products.
- Attends in-house sales meeting and contractors’ meetings.
- Performs required paperwork and maintain job tracking file within Salesforce
- Develop and execute territory action plans to ensure successful results.
- Delivers samples to customers.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by management, or its designated representative.
- Abide by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
**_QUALIFICATIONS_** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- An enthusiastic, energetic, self-starter with a commanding presence and strong customer relationship building skills.
- High school education, post-secondary sales marketing and/or technical education preferred.
- Two years sales experience.
- Salesforce knowledge is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and orally, along with the ability to learn.
- Presentation skills demonstrating our brand to persons and groups.
- An organized individual with good listening skills.
- Understands Channel distribution and able to sell multiple product lines.
- Solid time management skills with continuing adherence to efficiencies and productivity
- Requires strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have strong computer skills, especially in Excel, Word, and Outlook. SAP experience an asset. Social media skills an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
