We constantly strive to provide on-site performance, prioritizing safety, optimum planning, and coordination. **Job Purpose** The Estimator / Scheduler plays a critical role in supporting project planning and execution by preparing accurate cost estimates and developing detailed construction schedules. This role ensures projects are financially viable, properly sequenced, and delivered efficiently by aligning budgets, timelines, and resources. Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, and leadership, the Estimator / Scheduler helps identify risks early and supports successful project delivery. **Duties & Responsibilities** - Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar software - Prepare accurate cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing - Perform quantity take-offs and review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope - Define project activities, milestones, task dependencies, and critical paths - Monitor construction progress against approved budgets and schedules, identifying variances and risks - Analyze schedule and cost impacts resulting from scope changes, delays, or unforeseen conditions - Conduct "what-if" and recovery analyses to support decision-making and mitigation planning - Coordinate labour, equipment, and material resources to align with project timelines and budgets - Solicit, analyze, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations - Support bid preparation, tender submissions, and value engineering initiatives - Collaborate closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to align execution with project plans - Communicate schedule and cost updates clearly to internal teams and stakeholders - Prepare regular progress reports, including schedule updates, cost tracking, critical path analysis, and variance reports - Maintain accurate records of estimates, schedules, revisions, and supporting documentation - Ensure compliance with contracts, Ontario construction laws, safety regulations, and industry standards - Evaluate workflows and recommend improvements to planning efficiency, productivity, and cost control **Qualifications & Skills Required** - Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred - 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating and/or scheduling - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications - Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, MS Office) - Understanding of construction sequencing and Critical Path Method (CPM) - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Paid time off - Vision care **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year Ability to commute/relocate: - Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Education**: - Bachelor's Degree (required) **Experience**: - construction estimating: 3 years (required) Work Location: In person
