**Job Function**

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall branch operation, branch customer service, and performance management of all branch staff. Develop the team to achieve customer growth and retention, customer service goals, sales/gross margin goals, and inventory goals for the branch while creating a strong team for future company succession planning. Focus all team members and supervisors on exceptional customer service through leading by example, training, follow up, and consistent validation. Responsible for new product and competitive knowledge gathering and sharing with the team.

**Core Job Responsibilities**
- In coordination with HQ, plan, implement, and manage a business strategy of consistent growth while supporting overall company goals, culture and vision
- Recruit, hire, train, coach and performance manage all branch staff
- Provide the primary communication channel between the sales staff and all other departments, branches, and managers
- Develop and maintain through consistent validation and coaching a customer centric culture where our actions are geared towards providing courteous, fast, efficient, accurate customer service
- Monitor and provide input to ensure high customer service levels where the customer receives their product in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
- Scan vendor literature and communicate with customers to stay on the forefront with new products, new designs, new ideas or other areas for growth
- Ensure storefronts are well maintained, stocked, clean, and organized in coordination with our Merchandising Manager for company wide consistency
- Ensure reaction time and accuracy of information and quotes being relayed to customers
- Direct involvement of the maintenance and development of key accounts; selling required
- Review reports, alerts, flow charts, procedures and manual tasks to streamline systems and improve communications and processes throughout the branch
- Responsible for scheduling, vacation approvals, and payroll approval
- Remain current on industry trends, product development, and competitive situations
- Ensure safety, inventory, tool and equipment maintenance and paperwork are up to date

**Required Competencies**
- Strong knowledge of Accpac, MS Word/Excel and Outlook
- Mathematically Inclined
- Mechanically inclined
- High degree of proven sales and leadership ability; high motivational skills
- Warehouse experience; shipping, receiving, inventory control and picking is highly beneficial
- Efficient problem solving skills with high detail to accuracy
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proactive nature when dealing with people or safety concerns
- Commitment to continual development in both the business and people operations
- People management experience. Coaching and performance management is required for this role
- Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract
