FARE - Foundation for Animal Rescue and Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and funding Canada's largest exotic animal rescue. We are committed to conservation support work to several programs around the world focused on endangered species, breeding, and habitat protection - including species survival plans and educational programming to support responsible pet ownership and backyard conservation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Grant Research and Identification**:Identify potential funding opportunities aligned with the organization's strategic plan.
- Research grant guidelines, eligibility criteria, and submission requirements.
- Develop a comprehensive grant calendar to track deadlines and opportunities.
- **Grant Writing and Submission**:Develop compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
- Write clear and concise proposals that effectively communicate the organization's needs and impact.
- Track grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and deliverables.
- **Post-Award Grant Management**:Monitor grant budgets and ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions.
- Prepare timely and accurate grant reports.
- Coordinate with program staff to ensure the successful implementation of grant-funded projects.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration).
- 2 years of experience in grant writing, research, or project management.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in grant writing software (e.g., GrantStation, Foundation Directory Online).
- Knowledge of government regulations and nonprofit compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
