We are currently seeking an **IT Application Support Analyst** to join our **IT Business Support team** in a full-time permanent position.
An IT Application Support Analyst builds strong collaborative relationships with a commitment to a respectful, inclusive and productive work environment while demonstrating integrity and a commitment to operational excellence for our customers. Please note that our customer information systems will be undergoing a transformation over the next number of years, so it is an exceptionally exciting time to join this team.
Key elements of this role include:
Under the direction of the Manager, IT Customer Experience, the IT Application Support Analyst is accountable for analyzing, implementing, and maintaining computer systems that achieve the service levels established for designated customers.
- Answer customer questions regarding product usage
- Recognize and identify potential areas where existing business policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and make recommendations
- Perform project and operational tasks with good overall quality, while being able to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Maintain relationships with business partners and system users
- Support customer reporting requests
- Provide rotational on-call after-hours support
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
These skills will make you successful:
Experience and knowledge supporting technologies or processes such as:
- Incident Management
- Request Management
- Change Management
- SQL, data retrieval and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Working knowledge and experience with the following would be an asset:
- AS400 / iSeries Systems
- Scripting / programming knowledge (AS/400 languages are primarily CL, RPG, and SQLRPGLE. Experience with Query400, DDS file and screen design, SQL, etc.)
- Billing Applications
- Customer Information Applications
- Meter Data Management Applications
- ITIL Foundations training
- Project execution and implementation
- Documentation and knowledge transfer skills
