The most important aspect of our company’s operations is our dedicated people; **_our people will always be the source of our success and their safety and health will always come first._** We are currently seeking for **_Driver Helpers_** to join our team at our **_City Division in our Winnipeg Terminal._**

**Summary**
- The driver helpers is a key partner in providing overall service to customers within the city and in rural areas. The driver helper will assist the Driver on deliveries and pick-ups by using equipment or handling the freight into and out of the truck, processing paperwork, using remote devise or assisting with pre-trip and post-trip inspections.**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provides positive friend service to all customers
- Supports driver with freight deliveries and pick-ups physical tasks
- Assists driver with all associated paperwork and organization of documents
- Uses handheld device as required
- Tracks and reports equipment problems with driver
- Take part in training as required
- Participates in all health and safety initiatives by working safely and using the proper PPE
- Backup to dock staff if needed

**Qualifications**

Previous experience as driver helper or swamper would be an asset. Must be physically fit and able to perform light to medium lifting. Must be able to read, understand, and follow company safety procedures and policies.

**Physical Requirements**

Physical demands of helper position are above average. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs from shoulders to floor, bend and twist consistently, standing and walking all day. Need to have a good sense of balance with hand and foot coordination with ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights. Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season. Must be able to operate small equipment such as power jack, fork lift and hand dolly equipment. Personal protective equipment must be worn.
