Job Summary

A Brief Overview
Queen's Engineering is looking for a high energy and creative individual to help bring the best young minds in the world to one of Canada's finest engineering schools. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications within the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, the Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and championing an approach that attracts a diverse student body to our programs. The incumbent will work closely with a range of clients and partners within the Faculty and Queen's University, including faculty, staff, alumni, and students to ensure successful outcomes for all recruitment activities within Queen's Engineering,

This role will be the friendly voice and first point of contact for many interested applicants who have various backgrounds, experiences and talents, and is the driving force behind the execution of the two keystone events of the Queen's Engineering year: our Fall Preview and Spring Break Open House. As a key member of the recruitment team, this position will travel to participate in various recruitment events meeting thousands of promising young people from all cultures and backgrounds and talking to them about engineering and education. With a good sense of recruitment marketing and exceptional communication skills, this role will manage a wide array of recruitment materials, ensuring that they are coordinated and executed consistently across the web, print and social media, and report on and analyze our successes in consideration of on-going adaptation and continuous improvement.

This position acts as the first point of contact for program communication materials, gathers information and assists with writing and editing articles, reports, lists, or summaries for program use. This position also coordinates communications, including preparing proposals, letters, seminar materials, and other documents, and plans and coordinates program events.

Plans and coordinates program events, such as conferences, fundraisers, training sessions, and other marketing and/or public relations events.

Develops and maintains a database of potential funding opportunities for student projects.

Updates and maintains program website.

Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit. Required Education
Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent. Required Experience
More than 2 years and up to and including 3 years of experience. Required Licenses and Certifications
Vulnerable Sector Screening required.

Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required.
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Knowledge and Requirements
