**We are a small bakery in London that makes all natural sourdough bread and rustic pastries. All of our flour is milled in house and we love using local ingredients. We run an online store with delivery, have a retail location and are currently at 4 farmers markets.**

The Whole Grain Hearth bakery is looking for a pastry assistant who has knowledge and understanding of basic bakery/kitchen skills, is able to work quickly in a fast paced environment and is committed to producing quality baked goods alongside a dedicated team. You will be working directly with the pastry chef/bakery manager.
- **Requirements**_
- 1-2 Years Kitchen/Bakery Experience (preferred graduate from pastry/culinary school), we are also happy to train in our ways
- Experience in pastry lamination
- Food Handler's Certificate (we can get you set up with this)
- Reliable Transportation
- The Ability to Work Early Shifts (5:00AM start)
- A Good Sense of Humour
- The Ability To Lift Heavy Items & Stand For Long Periods of Time
- **What You Will Be Doing**:_
- Pastry Lamination ** (You will be tasked with working the sheeter for several hours)
- Following recipes as set out by our Pastry Chef
- Preparing daily items according to instructions
- Cleaning food prep areas, equipment, and utensils, while strictly adhering to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
- Packing Wholesale/Delivery Orders
- Baking/Finishing Baked Goods

Pay is hourly and ranges from $18.50 - $21.00 depending on experience. Shifts are usually 8-10 hours long w/ a 30 min paid break, can change depending on the season and production levels. We are pretty flexible as long as you are a reliable person. :) Extra hours may be available should you be interested.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
