**In your role, you will**:
- Delegate and organize resources to meet requirements of the various projects assigned to the Conceptual Design & Sizing team of the Advanced Design department.
- Participate in manpower planning activities and budget preparation.
- Be accountable for managing financial resources.
- Ensure adequate quality level for all deliverables produced.
- Define individual goals and expected results for employees under your supervision.
- Perform employee performance reviews and participate in the recruitment and integration of new employees.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring and training, on a regular basis, to enable employees to reach their goals and deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with technical leaders (Fellows, senior experts, chief architects) to align on priorities and decisions.
- Act as an aircraft configuration & technical chief architect deployed to one of the key major projects and as such be responsible for coordination of the execution of the team assigned to a specific project.
- Communicate effectively and favor efficient open communication.
- Support the continuous improvement, growth and industry competitiveness of the Conceptual Design & Sizing methods and tools. Including the development of complex MDO tools and workflows applicable to conceptual design.
- Support Competitive Intelligence studies and activities.
- Participate in the recruitment and supervision of interns in the Conceptual Design & Sizing team.
- You have a master degree in aerospace or aeronautical engineering with at least fifteen (15) years of aerospace engineering experience.
- You have an in-depth knowledge and experience in aircraft sizing/conceptual design/integration as well as a good knowledge in aerodynamics, performance or stability & control.
- You have experience on at least 1 development program.
- You have experience working with multidisciplinary and technically complex projects in the aerospace industry.
- You are open minded, curious, rigorous and methodical.
- You are able to take initiative and demonstrate entrepreneurship and leadership.
- You are a positive team leader.
- You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing amongst team members and other disciplines.
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You approach problem solving with a holistic view.
- You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience.
