**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) is a National Indigenous Organization representing the political voice of Indigenous women, girls, two-spirit, transgender, and gender-diverse people in Canada, inclusive of First Nations on and off-reserve, status, and non-status, disenfranchised, Métis, and Inuit. NWAC was founded on the collective goal to enhance, promote, and foster the social, economic, cultural, and political well-being of Indigenous women, girls, two-spirit, transgender, and gender-diverse people within their respective communities and Canadian societies.

**SUMMARY**

The Regional ISET Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) Program in a designated region, province(s) or territory. This role is vital in ensuring the effective delivery of employment and training services to Indigenous women in their diversity (First Nations, Metis, Inuit) in accessing education, training and employment opportunities. Under the direction of the National ISET Associate Director, the Regional ISET Manager leads the regional planning, partnership development, service delivery, and compliance and reporting requirements to support NWAC’s national ISET objectives as per its Contribution Agreement with Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the ISET program in the assigned region, province(s), and/or territory in accordance with the ESDC Contribution Agreement and NWAC guidelines.
- Coordinate regional service delivery activities:

- Provide direct case management services to all ISET clients including but not limited to intake, needs assessments, action planning and ongoing Intervention support; guide clients through individualized training and employment pathways that reflect their goals and realities; monitor client progress and outcomes, supporting wraparound services including changes in financial/funding status; identify any client issues or barriers and offer support or referrals as appropriate.
- Develop and annual workplan to outline how you will build and maintain relationships with regional employers to advocate for clients and create workplace opportunities through ISET funding streams; partner with regionally-based not-for-profit organizations or private corporations to deliver projects which support employment and training and work experience opportunities; promote the ISET program by attending at schools, training institutions, career fairs, and community events; engage with community organizations to broaden program reach and awareness and ensure equitable access and visibility.
- Maintain an active list of program inquiries and submit monthly (or as requested) reports; maintain and active client list and update the status of each intervention as may be required; submit narrative and statistical reports including outcomes and program impacts; monitor performance indicators and ensure services are meeting regional targets, client and community needs.
- Responsible for regional budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting:

- Monitor regional budgets and ensure funds are allocated and spent in accordance with approved workplan allocations.
- Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly financial forecasts based on client needs, service delivery including travel to regional employers or events.
- Track active client spreadsheet and reconcile regional expenditures including client disbursements and program operational costs ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial guidelines;
- Maintain detailed financial records and provide workplan budget variance reports to the National ISET Manager as required.
- Assist with regional financial reporting and support audits or evaluations and year-end reporting activities as needed or requested.
- Contribute to the development of the Annual Operations Plan (AOP) in collaboration with the National ISET Associate Director and Senior Director, Economic Development.
- Other duties as required or assigned.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Post-secondary education in social services, education, business administration, marketing/promotion or related fields or equivalent, through work experience and/or other relevant education.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, client services, or employment and training programs is recommended
