Calgary, Canada ROBINSON Full time

We know what it means to put the customer first—our business is built upon a tradition of exceptional, individualized customer service. Our employees experience the excitement and satisfaction that comes from working for a successful, expanding company where every team member makes a difference and where initiative and hard work are valued and rewarded. We are confident that if you choose to work at ROBINSON, you will be taking your first steps towards a challenging, profitable, and satisfying career.
We are looking for a design focused, self-starter to oversee our Calgary Showroom and drive growth. This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape the customer experience, inspire a passionate team, and bring a beautifully designed space to life. As Branch Manager, you’ll be at the heart of it all — driving sales, building relationships with homeowners and industry professionals, and ensuring every detail of the showroom reflects our commitment to quality, design, and service.
**What you will do**:

- Lead and motivate the sales team to provide knowledgeable, solution-focused service to homeowners, designers, and tradespeople.
- Achieve sales goals through effective merchandising, team development, and customer engagement strategies.
- Maintain high standards in showroom appearance, product displays, and stock levels.
- Manage store operations, including scheduling, budgeting, inventory, and vendor coordination.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, new product lines, and technical specifications.
- Ensure the team is trained on product knowledge, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Cultivate a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for staff and customers.

**What you bring**:

- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a specialty retail environment - ideally within the plumbing, lighting, or interior design sectors.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high performing and consultative sales teams - you know how to coach staff to ask the right questions, understand a customer’s project needs, and recommend tailored product solutions.
- Working knowledge of plumbing and lighting products - you’re comfortable learning about fixtures, finishes, technical specs, and staying current on product trends and codes.
- Flexible and hands-on - you’re equally comfortable jumping on the floor to support your team or behind the scenes reviewing numbers and managing operations.
- Strong operational acumen - you’ve handled scheduling, inventory control, budgeting, and reporting in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both with customers (homeowners, designers, contractors) and internally with staff and suppliers.
- Comfort with reading and interpreting blueprints or renovation plans is an asset - you understand how our products fit into the bigger picture of a customer's renovation or build.
- Technologically proficient - you’re comfortable using POS systems, inventory software, and basic Microsoft Office tools.

To service our customers, our showroom is open 6 days per week, and this role is expected to work a minimum of one to two weekend shifts per month.
ROBINSON values your experience and recognizes the contributions you make to the success of our business. Your starting pay will be based on the skills and experience you bring to the role, with opportunities to earn more as you grow and develop with us. Your salary will be supplemented with monthly bonus opportunities, monthly commission payments, wellness days, RRSP program and a generous benefits package.
