**The Village of Coleman Care Centre,**located in** Barrie, Ontario**has an exciting opportunity for a**CASUAL RECREATION TEAM MEMEBER**to join their Long-Term Care REC Team.**:
***Completed Diploma or Degree in Recreation Leisure Studios and/or gerontology**from a community college or university.

**Role requires availability SUPPORTS every other weekend**

**As a new Recreation Team Member, yo**u will**:

- Have experience working with the geriatric population
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture.
- Work as key member of our Village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents’ individual needs,
- Foster exemplary relationships with residents, their families and the Village team to deliver holistic services
- Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual’s health

**It would be an asset if our new Recreation Team Members has**:

- Enrolled in or completed a diploma or degree recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university is an asset
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector, including the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and Health & Safety
- Experience working with people living with dementia
