Here's how a Scheduling Coordinator for our Winnipeg office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:
- Understands project document controls and procedures.
- Includes contract requirements in the schedule as directed by the senior management team.
- Provides supporting information for the development of schedule impact analysis for contract changes and project impacts.
- Prepares quantity takeoffs for production analysis.
- Communicates with site staff and subcontractors to determine and track the actual construction progress.
- Actively listens and asks questions to capture and extract information for schedule updates.
- Completes site walks to verify the construction process against the schedule.
- Supports the project team with schedule updates.
- Supports interactive planning and scheduling sessions.
- Updates the schedule logic.
- Collaborates with field supervision on look-ahead planning.
- Assists schedulers with monitoring and communication the project schedules to the project team and district staff.
- Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of construction specifications, building materials, methods, procedures, and the ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and proposal documents.
- Post secondary degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or related discipline preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable systems.
- Knowledge of the Critical Path Scheduling method related to construction industry.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relations with stakeholders including supervisors and sub-trade partners.
- Ability to travel to various project sites and company locations.
- Relocation and/or temporary project assignments (including out-of-town work) will be an asset for continued career growth.
