We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as an Logistics Coordinator/ Load Planner.

**Position Overview**: As an Logistics Coordinator/Load Planner, you will be at the forefront of our operations, responsible for efficiently managing the movement of freight, negotiating rates, tracking shipments, and ensuring accurate billing processes. Your role will require exceptional organizational skills, industry expertise, and a collaborative approach to work seamlessly with internal teams and external partners.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Order Management**:

- Collaborate with internal teams to gather order details and requirements.
- Calculate the most efficient mode of transportation (FTL, LTL, per hundred pound weight) based on shipment characteristics and client preferences.
- Assess special handling needs and coordinate appropriate arrangements.
- **Rate Negotiation and Sales**:

- Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and freight providers to optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Actively seek sales opportunities and promote value-added services to clients.
- **Shipment Coordination**:

- Coordinate freight pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and reliable transportation.
- Liaise with carriers and logistics partners to schedule shipments and resolve any operational issues.
- **Track and Trace**:

- Utilize tracking systems to monitor the status and location of shipments in transit.
- Proactively address any delays or exceptions and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- **Billing and Documentation**:

- Accurately calculate freight charges based on negotiated rates and shipment details.
- Prepare billing documentation and ensure timely submission for invoicing.
- **Customer Service**:

- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment inquiries, rate quotes, and service requests.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with internal teams including sales, operations, and finance to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and optimize efficiency.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience (2+ years) in a logistics coordination role within the 3PL industry.
- Strong understanding of freight transportation modes, including FTL, LTL, and specialized handling requirements.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates and drive sales.
- Proficiency in tracking and tracing shipments using logistics software and systems.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the logistics industry from the 3PL perspective, including regulatory requirements and best practices.
