Motor Patrol

Preference will be given to those who have education in Protection, Security and Investigations, Police Foundations, or an education similar. First aid certification is required. Use of force training is preferred.
**Shifts**
*_Schedules are based off of a mandatory two-week rotation_
Must be able to commit to the assigned schedule consisting of:
**Tuesdays to Fridays from 4 pm to 1 am - 2 am**
- Must be available weekdays/weeknights, weekends and statutory holidays.
- Night shift
- 10 hours shifts
**Responsibilities**:
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Interact regularly with the public with importance on good customer service and public relations.
- Conduct regular motor patrol duties by visiting various sites.
- Perform regular foot patrol of any interiors and exteriors necessary.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
- Perform parking tagging procedure where assigned.
**Skills**:
- Use of force training (preferred).
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.
- Full G class driver's license with 3 + years of driving experience.
**Qualifications**:
- 3-5 years Canadian driving experience with a G license.
- Clean driving record (an abstract will be required).
- Education in Protection, Security or Investigations, Police Foundations, Criminal Justice Diploma, or similar.
- 3 years security experience preferably in a mobile patrol position.
- Minimum of double vaccination.
- Use of force training will be required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
