**Responsibilities**:

- LEAD, Observe, assess, and record children's behavior in order to develop teaching strategies.
- Have a clear understanding of typical childhood development stages and how this informs teaching practices.
- Develop lesson plans to address learning objectives and incorporate the whole child, including the physical, social, and emotional aspects of their development.
- Prepare teachers for the classroom by offering assistance and advice.
- Monitor student progress throughout the school day.
- Providing a safe, caring, and enriching environment for the children.
- Create a positive parent experience using effective communication.
- Supervise children's interactions to ensure they are positive, healthy, safe and that all children are treated with respect and dignity.
- Collaborate with co-workers and Director to create engaging and relevant monthly programming that fit the needs of the children.

**Requirements**:

- **MUST HAVE - Early Childhood Education Certification LVL 2 or 3**:

- Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
- Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
- A clear Police Clearance with a Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs and participate in full body activities.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.05-$26.62 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Early childhood education: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- ECE level 2/3 Certification (required)
