Horizontal Directional Drillers/locators

Winnipeg, Canada Quantum Utilities Ltd. Full time

QUANTUM UTILTIES Ltd is looking for experienced Horizontal Directional Drillers/Locators to join their growing team as they expand work within the Province of Manitoba.

**Primary Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Complete Daily Permit on site prior to starting work (SiteDocs).
- Complete Daily Inspection of Vehicles & Equipment (SiteDocs).
- Operate Vehicles and Equipment Including but not limited to:

- Operate Vermeer S3 drills (23x30,20x22,10x15,9x13) and F5/F2 Falcon locators.
- Operate Drill Truck(Freightliner/ Kenworth reefer trucks or F600/F550) with Felling trailers.
- Transport associated tools, materials, and/or equipment in a safe manner.
- Document and submit any maintenance/repair reports of Vehicles/Equipment.
- Document and report any incident/near-misses.
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors and other team members to ensure work is done in a safe, and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors conducting manual labour for extended periods of time.
- Navigate around live utilities.
- Load and unload directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage-free.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.

**Requirements**:

- Class 3 License (required)
- Class 3 License with Air (preferred)
- Class 1 License (Ideal)
- Willing to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the project (Overtime, Evenings, etc.)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$34.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Directional Drilling: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 3 License (preferred)
- Class 5 Licence (required)
