JOB SUMMARY: The incumbent is assigned to assist the maintenance team to repair machinery on bar and cookie production lines. Assists the mechanic according to the requirements communicated to him/her. While respecting established procedures, he/she must pay particular attention to the work methods used in the performance of his/her tasks in order to be efficient and safe. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Make minor repairs while supervised by a mechanic (Service calls)
- Assist mechanics in more complex tasks
- Using the Companies Training System (POKA) to learn working methods
- Help prepare training materials for mechanics by creating work guides or work instructions
- Inform immediate supervisor of potential problems or process improvements
- Assist in finding root causes of breakdowns and work with team members to put in place corrective actions to decrease the number of breakdowns
- Support maintenance projects as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- In the process of obtaining a professional diploma in the field of mechanics;
- Be recognized for precision, autonomy and efficiency;
- Be punctual, diligent, versatile and methodical;
- Possess good learning ability and excellent physical endurance
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (asset)
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
- Be extremely organized and communicate effectively with customers, peers, team members and reporting managers
