**Job Overview**
The Paint Line Assistant plays an important role at Beta-Calco, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the paint line. Success in this position requires a thorough understanding of paint line operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the team.
This role involves preparing materials, monitoring processes, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Adherence to safety standards and effective communication are essential to ensuring high-quality results are delivered on time and accurately.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Prepare and organize parts and materials for the paint line process.
- Load and unload parts onto the racks in accordance with specifications.
- Notify the Paint Line Supervisor of any irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
- Inspect painted items for defects, such as uneven coating or color inconsistencies.
- Prepare defective parts for rework as needed.
- Follow established production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with cleaning equipment and tools according to company procedures.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with company policies and OHS and WSIB standards.
- Support additional tasks as directed by the Paint Line Supervisor or management.
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of paint line equipment and processes
- Computer skills: spreadsheet, word processing, and web browser
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
