**Overview** We’re looking for a licensed **Physician Assistant (CCPA)** to help support our physicians in a busy family medicine clinic. **This role is hybrid and there is the option for 50%+ of the role to be done from home.** **Working Hours and Flexibility** - 0.9 FTE - 36 hours per week - Annual Salary - $95,000 - $100,000 - An average of 2 in person evening clinics each week (set days) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Flexibility for >50% of working hours from home as per operational needs - Occasional home visits may be required **Responsibilities** - Support physicians in inbox and task management within scope of practice - Processing letters and hospital discharge summaries - Renewing prescriptions - Responding to queries from clinic staff, retirement home staff, and patients - Deliver clinical care to patients including: - Taking patient histories and performing physical examinations - Ordering diagnostic tests and imaging - Consulting with physicians and other practitioners - Maintaining complete and accurate patient records - Administering injections - Advising on health promotion and disease prevention - Prescribing medications - Coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams - Arranging follow-up care or referrals - Performing minor procedures (cryotherapy, intra-uterine device insertion/removal) within professional competence and licensing - For non-OHIP covered services, ensure patients are informed of fees before services begin, and coordinate payment collection with administrative staff **Qualifications** - Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Ontario (CCPA) - Registered with CPSO Pay: $105,555.55-$111,111.11 per year **Benefits**: - Extended health care - Flexible schedule - On-site parking - Paid time off Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ottawa, ON K1G 5H6
