DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
- Create purchase orders for products, parts (domestic and international) and supplier with all supporting documentation.
- Coordinate shipping for equipment, products, parts and suppliers
- Review purchase requisitions and complete all required paperwork
- Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
- Collaborate with staff in all areas regarding products, parts and supplies
- Plan and coordinate the flow of work based on anticipated volumes and other factors, provide solutions to avoid unnecessary delays
- Source and acquire pricing for new product and suppliers
- Maintain warehouse inventory levels for products, parts, suppliers
- Oversee inventory counts be preparing spreadsheets, tags, and count sheets
- Create pricing lists for equipment and materials suppliers, major distributors and ROI calculation
- Create new customer, vendor, supplier accounts
- Maintain weight & dimensions chart, review freight bills for accuracy
- Maintain data and electronic filing system
- Other duties as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Post-Secondary Education with a focus in Business or Supply Chain Management, Trade School or a combination of both would be helpful
- 5 years + of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain, inventory control in civil construction environment.
- Prior experience in construction industry is required.
- Proficient with MS Office, Sharepoint
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Must possess a valid passport and driver license
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with: Primavera, Microsoft Project, Blue Beam
- Certified and trained on material handling equipment is an asset
- Accounting or budgeting skills
- Ability to take direction and carry out tasks independently

LANGUAGES
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
