Extreme Boat Sports is part of the Olympic Auto Group, with over 30 dealerships, across Canada and the US, and more than 750 team members strong. We are looking for a marine technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Operate diagnostic equipment, testing equipment, and hand and power tools associated with marine engine and equipment repair.
Diagnose problems to determine repair requirements or adjustments on marine engines, outboards, propellers, drive units, navigational equipment, etc.
Perform major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on several models of marine engines Inspect, repair and maintain boat engines and power systems (diesel engines, outboards).
Repair and maintain plumbing, hydraulic equipment and valves.
Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for marine engines and related equipment.
Liaise with team members to ensure priorities are clear, service orders are accurate and part orders and supplies are properly invoiced.
Qualification and Education:
Minimum 3 years of experience in the marine industry
Journey person marine mechanic with current certification
Certificate or diploma in related field e.g. diesel marine repair
Strong team player with good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and a proven ability to contribute to a positive and cohesive team environment
A self-starter with the ability to work with mínimal supervision
Work Location: One location
