**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Manager, Business Operations of Park and Facility Services the AutoCAD Technician works independently, designing and drafting accurate, complete and comprehensive drawings for internal and external clients. This is to be done in a timely manner for construction and renovation projects; including drawings for permits in compliance with City regulations. Update and maintain drawings for all Park infrastructures. This role interfaces with both internal and external stakeholders, including external engineering and architectural consultants, as well as key roles within the Calgary Stampede Park & Facility Services team.
**Key Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of this role may include, but are not limited to:
- Adhering to all safety and environmental protection programs, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Design and draft accurate, complete and comprehensive drawings for construction and renovation projects
- Design and draft accurate, complete and comprehensive drawings for event planning (ie: Midway, F&B, Sales and Events, Programming etc.) including permits in compliance with City regulations
- Update and maintain drawings for all Park infrastructures (ie: utility and line locates, site plans, floor plans etc.)
- Implement and maintain a filing system for prints and plans for filing and reference and make accurate updates to the system that is in place for current prints (as-builts) and future development and maintenance.
- Graphic support and planning of presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support with execution of 10 day Stampede requirements
- Assist with administrative and support duties occasionally as required.
- Other duties to assist with Park & Facilities Operations, as required
**Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Associate Degree in Architectural Technologies or Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Exceptional customer service, communication and time management skills.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field
- Demonstrated ability to understand relevant CAD standards, such as the City of Calgary standards
- Advanced skills with AutoCAD
- Intermediate skills MS Photoshop and MS Illustrator
- General knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
**Working Conditions**
- This position takes place in an office environment
- Involves repetitive arm, hand and finger movement. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lb., pushing, crouching, bending, kneeling and reaching. Daily stair climbing
- Occasional exposure to noise, dust, animal dander and changes in temperature
