Drafting Technician

Accurate Screen and Grating (ASG), an industry leading supplier of metal products, is seeking a motivated, and detail-oriented Drafting Technician & Coordinator to join our Planning Team. Our Planning Team is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with our nationwide Sales and Fabrication Teams to effectively deliver customer requests accurately and on schedule. Our ideal candidate excels at staying focused, organized and ensuring accuracy in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, update and organize Work Orders and other documents for fabrication.
- Inputting data into product configuration software to create auto-generated drawings and refining them in CAD for clarity.
- Coordinating drawing work to external drafting technicians.
- Create technical drafting drawings.
- Careful review of completed drawings and documentation to ensure correctness and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Entering orders and updating their progression in the fabrication schedule.
- Communicating lead times, order request issues & scheduling conflicts to the Sales Teams.
Qualifications:
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to reliably delivering work that supports team success.
- Interpret structural and metal fabrication drawings.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or metal fabrication.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience in drafting software (SolidWorks preferred, DraftSight/AutoCAD acceptable).
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) or production software, Preferred.
- Ability to work in office five days a week.
