**The Island Construction Limited is seeking an Accounting Technician**

We are an Asphalt Paving and Heavy Construction business based in Charlottetown. We are celebrating our 79th year as a family owned and operated company. We have a small, tight knit office and are looking for someone new to join us.

**Duties would include**:

- Perform data entry of accounts payable, accounts receivable and deposits
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records
- Providing support to Senior Accounting Staff as needed

**Key Skills and Abilities**
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling financial information
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Detail Oriented
- Excellent time-Management skills
- Excellent Oral and written English communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Comfortable learning a new software programs
- Ability to work well with others

**Experience**:

- Post secondary education required
- 3+ years in relevant accounting position

Full time, permanent salaried position starting range $60,000/year + depending on experience

Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
