**POSITION**:CNC MILLING MACHINIST
**WAGE**: $26.00 - 28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Our **CNC Machinists** are responsible for operating manual and CNC Milling and Lathe machines and all saw equipment. This includes the set-up of jigs & equipment and the machining of required parts to specifications and tolerances indicated on production drawings and work orders. They are also responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment and tools used. Providing assistance to other production areas may be required.
**Your Objectives**:
- Download CNC Programs; set up and operate CNC Milling Machines with fixtures and tooling as outlined on set-up sheets; change and modify programs where applicable.
- Maintain consistent observation and competently select, change, align, secure, and/or adjust cutting tools, offsets, attachments, jigs and fixtures while ensuring proper feed and speed for maximum efficiency
- Perform first part and random sample inspections, ensuring quality adherence; calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics, quality standards, methods and instruments
- Maintain high productivity and efficiency; plan and proactively prepare for next job(s)
- Practice safe work habits; perform routine preventative maintenance; clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment; maintain a clean/organized workspace.
- Identify opportunities for improvement; participate in update and maintenance of set up sheets as well as root cause/corrective action analysis.
**Success Requires**:
- Experience with CNC Milling Machining a requirement.
- Machinist / CNC Technology diploma, certifications or courses from a recognized post-secondary school is a requirement.
- Ability to proficiently create layouts, read and work with GD&T, engineering and production drawings
- Ability to use all machinist measurement tools
- Ability to change, set and identify wear of cutting tools, holders and fixtures
- Computer literacy and excellent math skills is required; Fanuc control knowledge is a must
- Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, the ability to work well with others and mínimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to prioritize
