**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality meal presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or similar setting. Must have a legal status in Canada.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment.
- Experience with meal preparation and food handling techniques is highly valued.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately are necessary for success in this role.
