**PARTS ADVISOR**
The Parts Advisor, with three years of experience, is responsible for supporting the efficient management of the parts inventory, assisting customers (internal and external) with their parts inquiries, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves collaboration with various departments and is designed for an individual looking to further develop their skills in the automotive parts industry.
**Responsibilities**:
**Customer Interaction**:
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers (internal and external) addressing their parts requirements.
- Offer accurate information regarding parts availability, pricing, and alternatives.
- Suggest additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction.
**Inventory Support**:
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Participate in regular stock checks and contribute to the reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Collaborate with senior staff in placing orders to replenish stock as required.
- Learn and contribute to the upkeep of the computerized inventory system.
**Technical Assistance**:
- Strong knowledge of Ford vehicles, parts catalog, and ordering systems
- Collaborate with service technicians to understand and address their parts needs.
- Provide basic technical assistance to customers in selecting appropriate parts.
- Stay updated on new products and industry changes through continuous learning.
**Sales Collaboration**:
- Work closely with the sales department to ensure accurate parts pricing and availability for vehicle sales.
- Learn and contribute to promoting parts and accessories sales through effective communication with customers.
**Documentation and Record Keeping**:
- Assist in creating and maintaining accurate records of transactions.
- Learn and contribute to the generation of invoices and processing of payments.
- Gain proficiency in tracking warranty and return procedures.
**Safety and Compliance**:
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines within the parts department.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in an automotive parts or related field.
- Valid driver’s license
**Skills**:
- Developing customer service and communication skills.
- Basic organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with computerized inventory systems.
- Developing technical knowledge of automotive parts.
**Teamwork**:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from various departments.
- Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
**Problem Solving**:
- Developing ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues effectively.
- Proactive in learning and addressing potential challenges in the parts department.
**Wage and vacation time are not guaranteed and are contingent on previous experience.**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
