We are looking for a **Parts Coordinator and Shop Hand** to join our team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for managing parts inventory, assisting in organizing the shop, and ensuring that the repair process runs smoothly. You’ll play a key role in supporting our technicians by ensuring they have the necessary parts and tools available when they need them, while also helping maintain an organized and safe work environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Parts Coordinator Duties**:
- Manage and organize parts inventory, ensuring accurate stocking of parts.
- Coordinate the receipt and storage of parts, checking for accuracy and quality.
- Track parts used in repairs and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare parts orders for technicians and ensure the correct parts are available for each job.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized parts storage area.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend reordering based on inventory needs.
- Liaise with the shop manager and technicians to ensure parts availability aligns with job schedules.
**Shop Hand Duties**:
- Assist technicians with tools, parts, and supplies as needed.
- Keep the shop clean and organized by disposing of waste materials and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Help in moving vehicles in and out of the shop as required.
- Assist in preparing vehicles for repair and delivery.
- Maintain the general appearance and cleanliness of the shop, including sweeping, organizing, and taking inventory of shop supplies.
- Support in loading and unloading parts and materials.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of shop equipment and tools.
**Qualifications**:
- Prior experience in parts coordination, inventory management, or a related field (preferred).
- Familiarity with automotive parts and the collision repair process (an asset).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable lifting and moving materials and parts as needed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
