Hope and Area Transition Society is a nonprofit in Hope BC, serving the Eastern Fraser Valley. The Society has been providing social programs since 1994. The largest nonprofit in the Eastern Region, the agency specializes in providing Domestic Violence, Substance Use, Youth and Family and Homelessness services.

**The Job**:
**The Director of Housing, Programs and Services **is a newly created Senior Management position providing strategic direction to ensure the success of all operational plans conducted at the Housing/Shelters, Youth and Family, and Outreach programs. Relationship building and collaboration is critical to the success of the position internally balanced with strong and credible relationships with Service Providers in the Community.

The primary objective for the Director of Housing, Programs and Services is to ensure that the housing, programs and services provided and/or delivered are financially viable, productive and add the highest possible value to participants, community and the Agency.
- Master’s degree in Business, Leadership or Social Services required
- 5-7 years direct experience working in a Leadership capacity delivering services to individuals living with mental illness, substance use and or homelessness, ideally in a nonprofit Agency
- Strong, proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to identify trends, establish benchmarks, and provide credible analyses and business recommendations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to professionally connect with and influence a diverse group of individuals
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead projects and work with diverse individuals to identify issues, design solutions, and evaluate results

**Experienced in**:

- Housing continuum, including market, subsidized and supported systems
- BC health care and social services system
- BC Housing programs, processes and systems
- Criminal record check with vulnerable populations required

**Skills**:

- Proven ability to manage budgets and timelines
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and tactfully
- Proven ability to delegate and evaluate results
- Able to adapt and flex (both mentally and physically) to quickly changing circumstances

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $92,865.00 per year
