**Job Title: Manager of Pre-Production and Planning.**

**Reports to: GENERAL MANAGER**

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement pre-production strategies and plans to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, procurement, and quality assurance, to define project requirements and timelines.
- Lead and manage a team of manufacturing engineers, CNC programmers, buyers, and planners/project managers to drive continuous improvement initiatives and meet production goals.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to review product designs for manufacturability and provide input on process feasibility and optimization.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of CNC programming standards and procedures to support efficient machining operations.
- Plan and schedule production activities, including resource allocation, equipment utilization, and workflow optimization, to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the pre-production process.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure necessary materials, tools, and resources for pre-production activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on project status, resource utilization, and key performance indicators.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, CNC machining, and production planning principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management concepts tools and software.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in manufacturing, such as ISO 9001 and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong understanding of OHSA and CSA standards
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

**Management Responsibilities**
- Oversee Project Managers/schedulers, Programmers and Buyer.
- Performing employee performance evaluations, addressing employee performance and corrective action plans for management staff
- Responsibilities may include interviewing, selection and hiring of new employees.

This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our pre-production processes and driving operational excellence.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
