The role works directly with and supports the General Manager, Assistant Manager, Shift Lead and Shift Supervisor. The crew member will prepare meals and follow company recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu, and following food health and safety procedures.

**Bao Line Expectations**
**Bao makers craft baos for customers. They receive a customer request and carefully select toppings of protein, sauces and optional spicy condiments. They dress the bao with garnishes such as Asian slaw and green onions between the bao.**
**Below you will find the expectations of this role**:
- Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range
- Comply and maintain a sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards at all times
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
- Awareness and handle food allergy according to the guidelines
- Ensure front store equipments and appliances are ready for use
- Restocking salads, bao buns, salad dressings, sauces, soups, condiments, garnishes and meats
- Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use
- Study the menu and prepare other supplies
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Head Chef, Bao Line Supervisor and QSR Operations Manager
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
**Hot Line Expectations**
- A Line Cook is in charge of preparing food and setting up other necessary supplies.
- They make sure everything has been set up correctly before starting work. They use specialized kitchen tools to prepare essential ingredients and create a finished product for restaurants.
- Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the executive chef with their daily tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow kitchen manager’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
**Skills and Qualifications**
**Bao makers should have excellent interpersonal skills. People with positive attitudes thrive in this job. Though prior experience as a bao maker is generally not required, the following skills are essential to get the job done**:
- Customer service - helping customers and answering phones is sometimes a part of this job
- Interpersonal skills - patience, attentiveness, and upbeat communication are skills a bao maker must use when preparing baos for patrons
- Physical requirements - bao makers are on their feet for the majority of their shift and are occasionally tasked with lifting or cleaning heavy objects
- Memorization - bao makers are expected to learn their restaurant’ s menu and bao options, including the order in which certain baos are made
- Collaboration - bao makers are usually part of a food service team and must work well with others to create a seamless customer experience
- Organizational skills - the duties that bao makers take on are managed simultaneously throughout a shift, requiring them to multitask effectively and prioritize
