Located in the City of Oshawa, Bloom Retirement Community is looking for a Part time Server, with kitchen experience to fill permanent part time positions. All services in the organization are designed to meet the needs and well-being of their residents. We are looking for a dynamic individual to come and be part of our Community in order to make a positive impact in our residents’ lives

**Specifically, your daily life with us will look like**:

- Greeting the residents with a smile into the dining room
- Delivering meals to the tables while providing personalized service
- Inputting orders into POS system
- Working as a unit along with the kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork and a smooth service
- Manage guests' reservations while ensuring their comfort
- Assist with dishwashing
- Other related tasks
- Note: This position will require standing for long periods of time and lifting

**The ideal person has**:

- Must be availability on weekends and holidays
- Excellent customer service skills
- A proven desire to work with seniors
- Excels in a team work environment
- Patience and empathy
- Great listening skills
- Great flexibility and adaptability
- Team spirit
- Works well under fast passed environment
- Assist with washing dishes as needed

**Required qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Smart Serve
- Food Handler a plus
- Strong English communication skills
