Applications are invited for the full-time position of Parks and Building Maintenance Supervisor in the Public Works Department for the District of North Saanich. The Supervisor is responsible for supervising groups of skilled and unskilled workers engaged in a wide variety of construction, maintenance and operational tasks in the Parks and Building Maintenance Department. The Supervisor manages departmental projects and initiatives, and is required to plan, assign, coordinate and maintain effective short term and long-term work schedules, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed in accordance with applicable standards, policies and safety practices.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

- Secondary school graduation (Grade 12), supplemented by a certificate relating to the construction and maintenance of parks and building Maintenance infrastructure, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in parks, trails and building construction and maintenance, including three (3) years supervisory experience in a local government environment.

The position requires strong leadership with a demonstrated ability to work in a team setting along with excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to be proficient with Microsoft Office products and possess a valid Class 3 BC driver's license.
