The Purchasing and Logistics Manager is responsible for the management of the purchasing function and logistics team for CES Chambly. Reporting directly to the Operations manager, you will work very closely with the Client Services, Solutions, Operational and Administrative teams withing CES. Accountable for the efficiency and professionalism of the purchasing and logistics teams while maintaining CES safety standards and complying with DOT regulations. Expected to provide strong leadership to maximize operations. Oversee the movement of materials and loads while working with internal and external carriers and disposal sites.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage daily purchasing activities, order supplies for the branch, including but not limited to general office supplies, chemicals, materials, etc.
- Manage supplier relations; request and review quotes, negotiate contracts, prices and terms.
- Manage CES logistics services internally and externally via 3rd party vendors.
- Ensure budgets are kept under control and that all necessary procedures and guidelines are followed.
- Participate in the selection of local and trans-Canada vendors as required
- Manage complex purchasing, account payable and transportation issues
- Coordinate physical inventory to determine and manage inventory needs
- Track and analyze all branch expenditures/costs and identify areas in which cost reductions and program improvements can be made.
- Manage and review complex invoices received from Disposal suppliers. Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Build and generate weekly, monthly, and yearly operation reports (volume analysis, profitability analysis, etc.).
- Ensure compliance of all haulers and carriers.
- Successfully manage employee performance while mentoring and guiding the overall growth of the purchasing and logistics team.
- Develop maintain, and promote an elite workplace quality, performance, appearance, and effectiveness
- Coordinate with third party transporters to ensure all equipment meets the DOT, MTO, Transport Canada and CSA requirements.
- Work with other department to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Support finance, client services, sustainability & solutions, and operation teams as needed.

Qualifications/Skills
- College degree
- 3 to 5 years experience in similar position
- Strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Ability to analyze information and suggest improvements
- Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills
- Understanding of CSA scores and DOT / MTO / Transport Canada requirements
- Knowledge of hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste.
