**Position Details**
- Internal Competition_- The Manager, Digital Communications and Design leads and executes the University’s digital and web strategy, manages web development projects, and works with internal and external content managers, editors, designers, and developers to develop digital web tools and standards to ensure consistency and effectiveness of the University’s digital assets. The manager leads processes to ensure the University has the appropriate publishing tools and infrastructure to meet digital needs including, but not limited to, the public website and student or employee intranet. The Manager will lead initiatives that integrate digital communication tools across the University.-
- Design is a critical tool that enables communication with all audiences. The Manager will work closely with the University’s senior designer to position the Creative Services team as the go-to unit for design inquiries and counsel to ensure consistency of visual brand standards across all platforms on campus, including web and digital signage. The Manager will position the work of Creative Services team to ensure major design initiatives match institutional priorities and timelines and connect these efforts to digital platforms, including digital signage.**Position Qualifications**
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in new media and/or visual design or a related field
- Managerial experience
- 5 or more years of experience working in a digital communications role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Familiarity of web/digital technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript and other web programming languages
- A working knowledge of design tools, methodology and platforms
- Familiarity with web publishing tools. This might include Drupal, Wordpress, SharePoint, Ghost or other web content management systems.

**Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $69,068.71 - $86,888.74 annually

**Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $69,068.71 - $104,707.74 annually (APO - Grade 4)
