**Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily meal preparation, including portion control and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking stations, utensils, and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management as necessary.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.

**Qualifications**
- Current Food Safe Handling Certification, Whimis Certification and Smart Serve Certified
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is essential.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices within the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation is highly valued.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.68-$18.39 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
