**Cook’s Job Duties**
- Following cycle menus, cook, food prep, and prepare ethnically diverse meals in a well-equipped, clean industrial kitchen
Sets up for and produces hot food components for daily production and ensures adequate supply of all required ingredients while ensuring food safety practices are upheld (rotation, temperatures, storage labelling)
- Be flexible and adapt to change in numbers, products, and serving venues (banquet, full-service meals, dispersed meals, and service from steam table
- Receiving orders, storing, cleaning-as-you-go
- Compliance to H&S program, quality assurance procedures and WHMIS regulations
**Cook’s Qualifications**
- 1 year experience industrial cooking and food service experience
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational and time management skills
- General physical wellness, and ability to stand, lift, move, etc.
- Successful Police Check
- Must be able to pass Government Clearance
**Food Service Team Member Job Duties**
- Back of House and Kitchen Production (Breakfast Cook)
- Front of House: Greets customers and provides friendly and courteous service; Operates electronic Point of Sale (POS) system; Ensures working, service and seating areas are kept clean before, during and after peak periods; Refers customer requests, concerns, or complaints to the supervisor / manager, as required.
- Dishwasher: Load, run and unload dish machine; wash and store all tableware, garbage removal, etc.
**Food Service Team Member Qualifications**
- General Help - A minimum of 1 year industrial cooking and food service experience
- Ability to work independently and with a team, meet time targets, with strong organization skills
- Solid knowledge of food preparation and handling principles, processes, procedures, policies, directives and guidelines
- Knowledge of equipment and materials to use / operate used in food preparation areas such as grills, ovens, deep fryers slicers, steamers and knives
- Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate
- Successful Police Check will be required
- Must be able to pass Government Clearance
**Schedule**:
Full-time 6:30am-2:30pm Monday to Thursday
Pay: $17.25 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
