Certified Arborist and Arborist Apprentice

Dreamworks Tree Services is looking for responsible, hardworking and energetic individuals to join the team. Looking to add several like-minded team members who are focused on job safety arboricultural quality, professional pride, conduct and personal/professional development.

Dreamworks Tree Services provide quality tree care with skill, knowledge and professionalism to residential, commercial and municipal properties in the Greater Toronto Area. Based in Uxbridge ON, Dreamworks Tree Services is expanding.

We currently have openings for:

- Certified Arborist
- Apprentice Arborists

Full time positions: year-round work.

Part-time hours: 40-45 hours a week with opportunity for overtime

Compensation is based on qualifications and experience level:

- Certified Arborist: $20-$30 range
- Arborist Apprentice: $17-$25 range

Qualifications:

- Arboriculture experience (2-3 years minimum required for Certified Arborist)
- Valid G driver’s License in good standing
- D/Z Drivers License preferred with a clean abstract
- Ability to pass Police security background check
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Team player who is motivated with a good attitude
- Ability to communicate in verbal and written formats

Responsibilities/Duties:

- Tree climbing (3 years experience preferred)
- Tree and shrub pruning, removals and stump grinding
- Installation of structural support systems
- Aeration and perforation fertilization
- Tree planting and landscape construction
- Hedge Trimming
- Insect and Disease Diagnosis
- Soil Analysis and Soil Amendments
- Root Crown Examinations
- Mycorrhizae Inoculations

All responsibilities pertaining to the above responsibilities:

- Maintenance of trucks and equipment (minor repairs, greasing, general upkeep, inspections, daily and weekly circle checks) office paperwork, job reports etc.

Site clean-up and other functions:

- Yard Duties
- Keeping our yard neat and tidy
- Cutting and splitting wood
- Maintaining trees, shrubs and lawn around our shop, house and yard
- Exercise courtesy to nearby residents by keeping noise and speed levels in the yard to a minimum

You will be responsible for the SAFE operation of the following equipment:

- Chain saws
- Stump grinder
- Chipper
- Trucks (Standard and Automatic transmissions)
- Hedge clippers
- Sprayers
- Assorted hand tools
- Climbing and rigging apparatus
- Bucket truck operations and maintenance
