**About the Opportunity**:
The Clinical Lead: Education & Learning has a fundamental role in the success of this complex, multi-organizational clinical transformation initiative. Their provision of critical consultative leadership, clinical expertise, planning, and direction at the multi health authority Program/Specialty Level and with all work streams, will ensure the scale and fundamental nature of clinical transformation required is understood at appropriate leadership levels, the achievement of drivers/goals and the delivery of a well-planned strategy in collaboration with the health organization leaders.
The Clinical lead for Education & Learning is responsible for providing oversight for the development of the educational processes and materials used to prepare all OPOR learners across the province. The Clinical Lead Education & Learning evaluates the vendor training materials, translates these to align to the priorities of the Nova scotia environment, and contributes to the establishment of an education and learning program embedded with principles of adult learning and competency development to ensure maximum benefits and enhancements are achieved.
The Clinical lead independently addresses issues and makes decisions of moderate complexity with little or no supervision and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues across the organizations. This includes:
- Analysis of vendor learning materials and portals for use with OPOR learners
- Contribute to design of Education & Learning materials for all OPOR users, including by user segment
- Lead development of learner competency development evaluation
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Undergraduate degree in a health related field required. Consideration may be given to those with appropriate training and work experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a clinical environment (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Experience designing and delivering education to healthcare learners is considered an asset. Physician training experience considered an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the design and implementation of pedagogically sound learning in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated leadership in leading education delivery teams
- Broad knowledge of learning management systems.
- Broad knowledge of clinical process, workflows, clinical services delivery and the ability to design and deliver education that reflects alignment with clinical processes
- Demonstrates strategic, creative and strong analytical and organizational skills
- Uses effective leadership, facilitation, communication and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict, achieve desired outcomes and address potential barriers to success
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute plans and ensure timelines are met while working with a variety of stakeholders
- Exercises initiative, self-direction and problem solving abilities to identity gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Project Management and change management certification would be considered an asset
**Hours**:
- Two (2) Long-assignment, Full-time positions; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
**Compensation and Incentives**:
$38.79 - $48.48 Hourly
