**Part time CLEANER (25-0000676)**

**Bargaining Unit: UNIFOR-HOSPITAL**
**Status: Part Time (0.5 FTE)**
Department: Housekeeping
Site: St. Joseph's Hospital
Other Sites: Balmoral, Crossroads, St. Joseph's Health Centre, Sr. Margaret Smith Centre
Shifts: Days/Evenings including weekends (Potential for nights)
**Rate of Pay: $25.91 - $26.36 per hour**

**Qualifications**:

- Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare facility a definite asset
- Must be in good physical condition and able to meet the demands of the job
- A physical test may be used during the interview process
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to operate all floor cleaning equipment including auto-scrubbers, carpet shampooers, burnishers, floor polishers, etc.
- Knowledge of stripping and waxing floors
- Heavy cleaning duties, requiring ability to move heavy furniture, filing cabinets, etc.
- Able to work scheduled shifts and call-ins as needed
- Ability to read and write English
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
