Non Financial Reporting Controls Manager - Salary National up to £56,250 London up to £70,000
We are recruiting for a non-financial reporting controls manager to join our team. This is a great job for someone with a keen interest in how we report environmental, social and governance metrics, and would suit someone who has the ability and confidence to challenge the control environment in place to ensure the accuracy of external disclosures.
Aviva has been promoting sustainability and leading on climate action and reporting. We have reported on climate change in our annual report and accounts since 2004 and we have published a climate disclosure in accordance with the taskforce on climate-related financial disclosures since 2016. Externally, Aviva’s climate-related disclosures are considered market leading. In 2021 we won PwC’s climate change reporting in the FTSE 350 reporting award, and we are rated as low risk by sustainalytics.
A bit about the job:
The non-financial Reporting controls manager role will be responsible for supporting the group financial reporting controls framework team to ensure that robust controls are in place and adhered to across Aviva’s suite of non-financial reporting (encompassing ESG), through review, challenge, engagement with and support of production and reporting teams to ensure robust controls and reporting standards.
You will support the delivery of Aviva’s non-financial reporting control framework activity, delivering design adequacy and operational effectiveness assessments over a variety of processes performed in the creation of our ESG metrics.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Good understanding of the importance of controls in production and reporting processes, and how to document and evidence key controls, either through first line or audit experience- Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at a variety of levels of seniority, both internally and externally (External Audit)- Positive can-do attitude and strong collaboration skills, focused on the right outcomes for Aviva. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage high volumes and multiple deadlines- Knowledge and active Interest in Aviva’s sustainability strategy and reporting in the area of ESG
What you’ll get for this role:
