**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare Group financial statements and all related activity including monthly and quarterly reporting, statistical/operational reporting, statutory filings, and ad hoc analysis
- Ensure timely and quality reporting and provide effective and precise information to the CFO
- Provide the CFO with value added input through an understanding of the various business units to drive more effective planning and decision-making
- Management, supervision and mentoring of finance/accounting staff
- Prepare and review all journal entries required or prepared by the group
- Maintain all subledgers and provides advice and training to staff as needed
- Advanced budgeting and cost modeling experience
- Costing
- Provide leadership to the collection effort
- Prepare and deliver performance appraisal for staff
- Provide assistance with internal/external audits
- Assist CFO with creation of annual company budgets, monthly financial reports, variance reports, and forecasting information
- Control of documentation of financial processes/procedures, and oversight of their implementation, including internal controls
**Required Knowledge and Experience**:
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented, senior accounting leadership role ideally with construction industry experience
- Professional Designation - CPA (or working towards certification) strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience communicating complex financial data to senior management as a true business partner
- Ability to examine, develop, re-engineer and propose recommendations regarding financial policy and procedures to improve internal control, efficiency and oversight
- Strong organizational skills
- People management experience with the ability to coach, train, and lead direct reports
- Knowledge of Job Costing required
- Proven skill and experience with industry standard financial tools (excel, powerpoint, etc)
- Advanced knowledge in Quick Books is required
