The Portal Youth Outreach Association is seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our Supportive Living Program as a Team Lead. This is a frontline leadership role providing daily coordination, staff supervision, and program support in one of our congregate supportive living homes for youth aged 16-24.

**About the Role**

As an SLP Team Lead, you’ll work closely with a house-based care team to ensure safe, consistent service delivery. You’ll oversee staff scheduling, model professional conduct, and support both youth and staff in navigating daily routines, programming, and moments of crisis.

Your leadership will help maintain a home environment where youth feel supported and staff feel equipped to do meaningful work.

**Intended Impact**

In this role, you will foster a respectful, stable environment where both youth and staff can thrive. Through supportive supervision, routine coordination, and relational leadership, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening the consistency, safety, and impact of the Supportive Living Program.

**What You’ll Do**
- Supervise and support a team of 5-7 house staff
- Coordinate shift coverage and manage casual scheduling needs
- Facilitate onboarding and departures of clients and staff
- Lead routine training, team communication, and daily program coordination
- Support crisis management and problem-solving alongside frontline staff
- Promote youth engagement through structured routines and recreational programming
- Ensure accurate documentation of staff and client activities

**What We’re Looking For**
- Degree in Social Work, Community Development, or Psychology + 2 years experience_**OR**_2-year diploma in Child and Youth Care, Addictions, or related field + 4 years experience
- Prior experience supervising teams or supporting youth in residential settings
- Familiarity with trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and strength-based practices
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Clear Criminal Records and Child Abuse Registry Checks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
- Willingness to participate in required training (ASIST, NVCI, First Aid, etc.)
