We are seeking an Human Resources Generalist to support Regional Group and its affiliated companies in all recruitment and human resources support activities. The HR Generalist has a good general understanding of how an HRIS system functions, is an innovative strategic thinker, exceptional executor, and people-oriented team player. To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience across the HR value chain, build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, learn the business - its leaders and organizational structure. This person will also need to have a keen eye for detail, creativity, a focus on process improvement and continuous learning.

**About the role**

**The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for**:

- Strategizing and collaborating with the HR and Management teams to improve the recruitment process.
- Coordinating new employee onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of talent management programs, including identifying high-potential employees and creating succession plans.
- Researching various training methods, sourcing coop students, providing management with curriculum options, and determine training priorities.
- Providing advice on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, always maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Assisting in the development of strategies and initiatives to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and overall employee experience within the organization.
- Conducting employee surveys and act on feedback.
- Promoting the organization's employer brand, both internally and externally.
- Staying updated on relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
- Managing HR information systems and databases.
- Providing support to the Human Resources function as directed by the Director, HR.
- Preparing managerial reports as directed by the Director, HR.

**About you**

**You have**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources.
- Post-secondary education or suitable professional training and experience as an alternative
- Excellent use of MS Office suite.
- Proficiency in Bamboo an asset or previous experience using an HRIS.
- General knowledge of Ontario employment laws and practices.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
