About the Role

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Regional Manager, Security Systems, NA to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of physical security systems across our data centers. This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a team of technicians responsible for access control systems (ACS), video surveillance systems (VSS), and related low-voltage security technologies. You’ll collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Construction teams to ensure security systems are designed and operated to the highest standards.

This role is on-site in Montréal (Pointe-Claire), QC or Quebec, QC.

Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Security Technicians responsible for system installations, maintenance, and support.- Oversee day-to-day operations of security systems including ACS, CCTV, VSS, IP networking, and structured cabling.- Partner with Engineering and Construction teams on the design and placement of security systems for new builds and expansions.- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service providers to ensure high-quality delivery and system uptime.- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of incidents.- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.- Standardize security processes and documentation across multiple sites.- Prepare updates and reports for senior leadership on system performance and project progress.- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Security Systems, or related field.- 5+ years of experience managing physical security systems.- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Access Control Systems (ACS) and Video Surveillance Systems (VSS).- Strong technical expertise with CCTV, access control, IP networking, and structured cabling.- Proven experience designing security infrastructure for new facilities.- Experience leading or supervising technical teams.- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows operating systems.- Working knowledge of networking concepts (IP addresses, MAC addresses).

Preferred:
- Genetec certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).- Experience with Traka Systems.- Data center experience.- Project management experience with large-scale installations.

Other Details- Travel up to 25% (may be higher during construction projects).
